Mike Dorris

Biography

Mike has a broad and distinguished background in the broadcast industry. For more than a decade, he has enabled content creators to tell their stories and reach their audiences. Mike’s passion for broadcast began in high school. It led him to earn a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois while he consulted for various local clients. He also helped manage The John Hancock FM combiner during this time, enabling tenants such as Cumulus Media and iHeartMedia to reach their Chicago metro listeners. Mike has led major studio and transmission rebuild projects for iHeartMedia, Beasley Media Group, Audacy, Univision, Northeast Public Radio, and others, in markets such as New York City, Los Angeles, Seattle, and Chicago.

Mike loves to break complex projects and timelines into their parts and make actionable plans to complete them. His straightforward style leaves Inrush clients feeling confident that he will get the job done. Mike lives in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago with his wife Aimee and enjoys exploring the city for the best sandwiches he can find.
